Museum in Mind

Join us for Museum in Mind on the second Monday of every month, starting Monday, February 12, from 2 to 4 p.m.!

Museum in Mind offers dedicated time for individuals with early-stage memory loss and their caregivers to explore artworks at the Whatcom Museum. We’ll explore the current art exhibition, engage in discussions about the art, and enjoy gentle sketching activities. Later, we’ll experiment with various art-making materials in the museum art studio. Join us for a memorable art experience!

Visit us online to register or to contact the museum's education department with questions. Participants must attend with a caregiver. Museum in Mind is offered in partnership with the Northwest Regional Council.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
