Jobs & Volunteers

Bellingham Volunteer Program: The main task and mission of Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism Volunteers is to greet visitors at points of arrival in our County. Volunteers will act as a liaison between arrival and attractions in the area to make travel convenient and encourage visitors to extend their stay and return to Whatcom County for future visits.

Join a team of happy people who love sharing their Passion for Bellingham and Whatcom County with tourists and locals alike. Benefits to joining our team include trips to learn about area attractions, hotels, and outdoor adventures. Enjoy annual recognition luncheons, and an annual whale watching cruise. You’ll even meet new people and make new friends.

  • Must be 16 or older.
  • Be available for a 3-hour shift once a week for three months or more.

For more information or to apply for a volunteer position, contact info@bellingham.org or call 360-671-3990.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
