Visible Mending Workshop

Unleash your creativity in this three-hour workshop where you’ll learn Visible Mending essentials. Explore basic stitches, thread types, and fabric selection tips, as we create two projects that implement the three basic mending stitches we learn in class.

This hands-on session will leave you with the confidence and skill to creatively mend at home in a way that is both functional and beautiful. Everything you need to start your visible mending journey will be provided for you at the workshop. All skill levels welcome. Whether you’re new to visible mending or a seasoned stitcher this workshop will be fun and informative for you.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
