Spring Family Activity Day

Celebrate our amazing earth and all the weird and wonderful creatures that inhabit it at the Whatcom Museum this Earth Day! We’ll celebrate our friends from the animal kingdom through hands-on crafts and activities throughout the Museum. Construct a slithering snake chain or create a very special habitat for your favorite creature.

While you’re at the Museum, be sure to see the amazing animal photography in our current exhibition, National Geographic. Finally, don’t miss the Reptile Lady! She’ll be showing off leaping lizards, terrific tortoises, and riveting reptiles in the Lightcatcher courtyard at 12 pm and 2 pm.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
