The final 2.7-mile section of Mount Baker Highway (SR 542), known as the road to Artist Point, is now closed for the winter season.

Bigfoot - A Play by Meghan Endres Brown

A darkly funny high-stakes play about sibling rivalry, quantum physics, and the terrifying power of the stories we tell.

Holly, a disgraced physicist, arrives at her sister’s remote cabin in Oregon to fulfill her mother’s dying wish: bring her sister Alyssa back home for one last family Thanksgiving. But Alyssa, certain she's going be visited by Bigfoot that very evening, refuses to leave the woods. Arguments escalate, unearthing a lifetime of simmering resentments… and putting both of their lives in jeopardy. Bigfoot explores an all too familiar question in contemporary life: how do families hold together when they can't agree on what is true and real?

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
