Car Shows in Whatcom County, Washington

Artistic curves, kaleidoscopic colors, and the shine – oh the shine. This is the view of a car show on a beautiful, cloudless summer day in Whatcom County.

It’s easy to have an emotional connection to these vintage vehicles. They are the industrial artwork of our collective Americana. Each shares a little piece of twentieth-century history and pop culture through the evolution of its design. And each represents the hundreds of hours of meticulous care put into restoring and preserving them.

Luckily, car clubs are prolific in Whatcom County. A car show takes place nearly every summer weekend. One just needs to know which day to look in which direction to find them. The following schedule will help you map a route to cruise back in time.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
