In this 5-week course, students will develop proficiency in painting various landscapes and seascapes while learning essential watercolor techniques. Each week, students will work with a provided reference photo, guided by the instructor, and build on their skills. The final class will culminate with painting the essence of a landscape based on the student’s choice of reference photo. By the end of class, students will be able to capture the landscapes they see around them and in pictures by extracting details, colors, and textures, and translating these components into brushstrokes using the techniques they have learned. This class is suitable for both beginners and intermediate painters.
