Private Thoughts: Artist Opening with Paul Niemi

Join us at Martini Mercantile for Private Thoughts: Surreal Tricklings from the Mind of Paul Niemi.

Paul’s intricate ink drawings feel like quiet transmissions from the subconscious, where lines wander, hidden worlds emerge, and reality blurs just a little. It’s thoughtful, mysterious, and the kind of work you can stare at for a long time and still discover something new.

Artist Opening: Thursday, April 2 | 5 - 8 PM.

Stop in, meet the artist, and spend an evening wandering through Paul’s beautifully peculiar universe.

Starts: April 02, 2026

Time: 5- 8 p.m.

Admission: Free!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
