For intermediate and advanced students. Students in Independent Studies bring their ideas to try new techniques for wheel throwing and hand building with the aid of a professional ceramic artist. Students will set goals for one or two techniques they would like to learn during the 7-week course.

Working with a professional instructor, students will gain feedback and techniques that will guide them to develop a thorough body of work. All guidance and advanced techniques will be catered to your specific style of work. The 7-week course will include free open studio hours for implementing new techniques and developing a body of work. Independent research and self-direction on aesthetics, theory, and critical assessment are highly encouraged.
