Play, Learn, and Connect: A Community Festival

Bring the whole family for a FREE afternoon of play, discovery, delicious food, and community! Explore hands-on activities, enjoy local food trucks and treats, meet organizations serving Whatcom County families, and discover resources that help children and families thrive. Whether you're building, creating, learning, or simply spending time together, there's something for everyone.

As you play, you'll also have the chance to help shape the future of Heart of Play Children's Museum—Whatcom County's first large-scale, fully inclusive children's museum. Come hungry. Come curious. Come ready to play.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
