Noisy Waters Mural Exhibit at Whatcom Museum
Take a final look at the original murals from the 2026 Noisy Waters Mural Festival, now on display in the Whatcom Museum Lightcatcher courtyard. The exhibition is free and open to the public at all hours.
Stop by anytime to experience the festival’s final works and enjoy free public art. If one catches your eye, bid on it! Each mural is an 8-by-8-foot original, weatherproof work of art, painted during the 2026 festival. Bidding starts at $300. The auction closes at 10 PM on September 18th.
The top three artists from the 2026 Noisy Waters competition will return to Bellingham in 2027 to create larger-than-life murals on public infrastructure around the city: Grand Prize — Catie Michel, Denver, Colorado | First Place — Jessa Gilbert, Squamish, British Columbia | Second Place — Oak Bloak (Max Coleman), Denver, Colorado. Come see the work that earned these artists a return invitation and get a preview of the murals that will transform Bellingham in 2027.
