Midwinter Medicine: A Solstice Foraging Walk with Northwest Natura
Join naturalist, Jazmen Yoder on a gentle and magical walk on the Winter Solstice to learn about wild medicinal plants and foraging protocols for several species this winter.
In this course, learn to identify plants (and mushrooms if we find them), discuss lookalikes, learn how to wildcraft syrups, tinctures, and salves at home, and be inspired to take your herbalism skills to the next level.
The trail will be selected closer to the date as Mother Nature decides when the plants are ready to be foraged. The decided location will be no more than 30 minutes outside of Bellingham.
Things to bring with you to class: Dress for the weather (warm outdoor clothing), Mud boots or waterproof shoes, Snacks and water, Notebook and pen (recommended; optional), Foraging basket, jars, and/or bags. Please register via the event website.
