Fan Zone Watch Parties & Events

Experience the excitement of soccer in the Bellingham Fan Zone! This summer, downtown Bellingham will be hosting outdoor watch parties for the world games. In addition to these larger watch parties, venues across the city will host free screenings of matches throughout the tournament. Planning a visit to one of the many events happening around the Bellingham waterfront? Try taking the bus!

Check the full schedule here.

Explore the Route

Embrace the summer of soccer beyond the matches at these soccer-themed events and activities taking place throughout the tournament.

By day: a public art sculpture created from a retired piece of paper mill equipment that was once used to help break down timber into wood pulp.

By night: a soccer ball!

Illuminated with this special design just for the fan zone, visit Waypoint Park to find the acid ball transformed every night through the tournament from 9:30 p.m. - midnight.

Keep the kids entertained while you watch the game! Allied Arts of Whatcom County has created coloring sheets that will be available at watch zone locations--crayons are provided, too.

You can also stop by their location in Downtown Bellingham for hands-on community art and craft stations throughout June and July:

  • Saturday, 6/20 - 12 - 3 p.m.
    • Color and Design Your Own Sports Bracelet with Rachel Simpson
  • Saturday, 6/27 - 12 - 3 p.m.
    • Face painting with Sulai Lopez
  • Saturday, 6/27 -12 - 3 p.m.
    • The Puppet Lady, Christian Anne Smith

    • Soccer Player Puppet Boxes with Susan Anderson
We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
