Aslan Brewing's Bellingham Beer Week Week Events and Beer Releases

As we creep closer to Bellingham Beer Week, the city will become alive with the various beer-centric events happening. Here is what to expect from Aslan Brewing during these busy days of Beer Week. ALL WEEK  FUNDRAISERS AT ASLAN // Nine for Nine: Beer for the Planet Nine days, nine nonprofits, nine percent. All week long, Aslan will be donating 9 percent of beer sales to 9 local, environmentally oriented nonprofits. Come into Aslan any day during Bellingham Beer Week and your pints will help a different cause. Here are the nine different nonprofits that will be apart of Aslan for Beer Week.

Friday, April 21, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.: Wear Local Day

We're kicking off Bellingham Beer Week with a local brewery tee day. Wear a t-shirt from a local brewery to our brewpub and drink $3 pints all day. All Whatcom County breweries are included: Boundary, North Fork, Chuckanut, Kulshan, Menace, Wander, Structures, Stones Throw, Bellingham Beer Lab, Gruff, Atwood Ales, Subdued. It’s our way of saying thank you to the awesome breweries and beer lovers in our community.

Saturday, April 22, Aslan and Boundary Bay's Beers & Gears  at Aslan, Boundary Bay, and Bayou on Bay

This Earth Day some of Bellingham’s finest establishments are teaming up for an all-day, city-wide event, Beers & Gears! Join Aslan Brewing, Boundary Bay Brewing, and Bayou on Bay as we encourage car-free transportation to each location to raise awareness for energy efficient travel. Both breweries will be swapping their new beers; Aslan will be selling Boundary Bay’s Cedar Dust IPA, Boundary Bay will be selling Aslan’s Captain Planet IPA, and Bayou on Bay will be selling both. Proceeds from Aslan and Boundary’s drink sales will go to the Washington Trails Association and Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association, while proceeds from Bayou will go to The Hub Community Bike Shop. Pick up a Beers & Gears stamp card at any of the three locations and acquire all three stamps from each establishment to qualify for the raffle. The raffle will be held at Bayou on Bay at 7 p.m. Grand prize includes two VIP passes to April Brew’s Day. No beer purchase necessary and stamps can be acquired in any order. Just make sure you’re traveling car-free.

 Beyond Beer Week: BEER RELEASES

There's a lot happening around Aslan these days. Here are our new beer releases for April. April 22 - Captain Planet IPA - Released in house, at Boundary Bay, and Bayou on Bay for our Earth Day Beers & Gears event. April 29 - Barrel Aged Frances Farmer - Released and pouring at April Brew's Day.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
