Chuckanut Brewery North and South Nuts Now Open 7 Days per Week

When Covid closed all brewery restaurants and taprooms on St. Patty’s Day 2020 Chuckanut Brewery’s Kitchen and Tap Room went to opening five days a week instead of seven to cut their losses and keep some staff on board. As Covid raged across our nation Chuckanut reverted to selling beer to go in bottles, kegs and growlers to keep the doors open and fans supplied with their award-winning beers!

When Phase 2 was reached, Chuckanut Brewery opened its North Nut Kitchen in Bellingham with food and beverages and also South Nut in Burlington for beer and beverages. With rules in place (wearing masks to enter and when not seated as well as maintaining 6’ distancing) Chuckanut Brewery’s North and South Nuts have now decided to open 7 days per week starting July 1. The hours for Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen (North Nut in Bellingham) will be 12:30-8 p.m. every day of the week. Chuckanut Brewery’s South Nut Tap Room in Burlington will be open 3-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 1-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

With the opening of seven days per week, Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen will offer a new menu featuring pizzas and calzones made in their Woodstone oven. The historic oven (built originally for Universal Studios in Hollywood) was made when Woodstone was still located in Blaine, WA.

Perfect for making the best pizzas and calzones Chef Ben will create signature Pizzas and Calzones along with the classics. The new Knots (small bread knots) with marinara or garlic butter for dipping is featured along with other items in the starter section. Chuckanut’s well known scratch Chowder, Caesar salad and a new BLT Salad with smoked vinaigrette is part of the Salads & Soup section followed by a variety of classic, signature and build your own pizzas and calzones.

The waterside patio and multiple covered patios with lots of outdoor seating even in the rain, makes Chuckanut a great spot for a beer or a meal for adults and kids (tables of up to 5 per table as per Phase 2 rules). At the South Nut Tap Room the beer garden is open and ready for guests. With it’s comfy garden lounge chairs and picnic tables it’s a perfect place for a beer and snack on a lazy afternoon.

Both Nuts have beer to go as well. The North Nut has on-line ordering at https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/chuckanut-brewery-bellingham or by calling 360-752-3377 option 1 with food and beer to go. At South Nut you can call 360-752-3377 option 2 for ordering beer and snacks to go. Whenever you are out and about in Bellingham or Burlington at the Port of Skagit stop in for a beer and maybe more, take a moment to reflect on life and enjoy yourself.

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen, located at 601 West Holly St, Bellingham, was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival. Currently both locations offer to-go pick-up for kegs, growlers and bottles of Chuckanut beer and food at North Nut as well as in house service. The South Nut Tap Room at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington is located at the Port of Skagit.         We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
