Chuckanut Brewery Oktoberfest Is Almost Here

Time to get out your Laderhosen and Dirndles, start vocalizing for the Yodeling Contest, strengthen those arm muscles for the Liter Holding Contest (it’s harder than you think), and get your eye hand coordination sharpened for the Hammerschlagen Contest because Chuckanut Brewery Oktoberfest is almost here. The big party celebrating the coming of fall happens on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Downtown Bellingham.

Fest 2018

Chuckanut Brewery’s family style traditional Oktoberfest encourages everyone to have a good time. Entry is only $2 and kids 10 and under are free! The Bellingham Balloon Fairies will be on hand with their magical face paints for adults and kids. There will be 3 courts of Corn Hole to try, ping pong for everyone and foosball. You might want to play the Giant Jenga or Skiball or take part in the Chicken Dance too!! There will be lots to do all day and into the night.

Chuckanut’s award winning German style biers will be on tap along with brats, German pretzels, pickled eggs, and make your own pretzel necklaces plus more to satisfy your appetite. The regular menu will be suspended for the day and return on Sunday. Don’t worry about the rain because we have the covered patio and giant tent decorated for the holiday. And of course there will be lots of music and time for good ole polka!

Chuckanut has added a souvenir boutique this year with special and regular schwag for purchase to remember the awesome times at Oktoberfest 2019. And of course you can still get growler fills of your favorite Chuckanut biers in case you want to continue your celebrations at home.

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen at 601 West Holly St, Bellingham, full service pub, was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). Chuckanut Brewery South Nut Tap Room in the heart of Skagit Valley, 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington welcomes guests of all ages since 2016.         We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
