foundDANCE Returns

foundDANCE is back as a 4-week series! The February series will run Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 PM from February 1-22 at Presence Studio.

foundDANCE is a beginner/all levels contemporary dance class—which means it is for: those who are new to dance, new to contemporary dance, returning to dance after a long time, and anyone looking for a class that prioritizes the joy of movement in a welcoming environment. We will cover movement fundamentals, guided improvisation, and learning choreography step by step, all while being gentle with ourselves as we learn new things. At the heart of this class is the experience of moving with a group of people and the magic it brings.

February 1, 8, 15, 22 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Presence Studio (1412 Cornwall Ave.)

Series Pricing: $60 general | $80 pay-it-forward | $40 discounted*

*Choose the price that is accessible for you.

This class will only run if enough people register to break even on expenses. However, if those interested in participating can’t commit to the 4-weeks, drop-ins will be allowed once the class is running.

Bellingham Repertory Dance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering high-level community performances, contemporary dance classes, and youth workshops. Visit bhamrep.org to learn more about BRD and how to get involved.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
