Participate in Community Video from Home

Tell us what you are looking forward to "When this is over."

Washington State's Stay Home order has been extended to May 31, 2020. Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism and Veritas Media are collecting video responses from people all around Whatcom County to share what they are most looking forward to doing again, after the stay home order is lifted. Please participate following the instructions below.

Guidelines
To be considered for the project, please keep your responses fairly short (about 30 seconds or less) and appropriate. Use your phone, tablet or computer to record yourself. If using your phone please hold it horizontal while recording. Answers should be relatable to a Whatcom County audience.

Submissions Due, 5 p.m., Wed., May 6, 2020

Your submission

In your video please state your name. Then answer the following two questions:

  1. What are you most excited for when this is over? In your response please start by restating the question (e.g., "When this is over...")
  2. How do you think COVID-19 will change our community going forward?

Be specific in your answers. If you're excited to go out to eat again explain where you'd go and what you'd order. If there is a public place, name the location and why you're excited to go there again. You can also include more general things you're looking forward to-perhaps there is someone that you're not able to see right now because of social distancing-let us know, and feel free to list as many things as you want.

CLICK HERE TO RECORD AND SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO

By uploading your video to the dropbox link above, you give Veritas Media, Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism permission to use your video submission in this and future projects. Submission does not guarantee that your video will be selected to be apart of the final video.

This project is a collaboration between Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism and Veritas Media dba Bellingham Tonight.

If you have any questions, please email sandy@bellingham.org.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
