Shifting Gears to host summer tours of Orcas Island

Start your summer right with a biking, hiking, and swimming tour of Orcas Island with Bellingham's Shifting Gears! Our 3-day, 2-night micro-adventure includes scenic ferry rides, hiking or biking Mt Constitution, alpine lake swimming, lunch in Eastsound, camping and soaking tubs at Doe Bay Resort, and of course, local wine and beer! Tickets are $299 per person and include accommodations, 6 meals and the option of an on-call driver in case you have reached your limit at some point over the weekend. Worried about having the right gear or the cost of the trip? Have no fear! We're here to help loan gear, walk you through renting a bicycle for the weekend, or applying for a scholarship in order to participate in this amazing adventure. Please email Kari at kari@letsshiftgears.com with any and all questions you have about this trip, or look out for the up coming information sessions!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
