Ski to Sea Race Sells Out Over a Month Earlier Than 2024

Whatcom Events announces that the 52nd annual Ski to Sea Race has officially sold out as of February 14th, reaching its 500 team capacity more than a month earlier than last year’s sellout date of March 21st. Due to overwhelming demand, the waitlist is now full and closed.

For young athletes looking to get in on the action, the Jr Ski to Sea Race—open to 3rd-12th graders—will take place on Saturday, May 10th. Registration is open for this exciting youth event.

Additionally, we encourage racers who are unable to compete this year to consider volunteering to experience the event from behind the scenes. Ski to Sea relies on the support of the community, and at least 500 volunteers are needed to make race day possible.

For more information on volunteering or registering for the Jr. Race, visit skitosea.com.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
