The Bellingham Farmers Market will be open this Saturday January 15

The Bellingham Farmers Market will be open this Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. The market is open on the third Saturday of the Month in January, February, and March.

Customers can expect some of their favorite vendors including Samish Bay Cheese, Alluvial Farms, Ten Fold Farms, and The Mount Bakery. Despite the recent snowy weather, hearty vegetable crops such as potato, carrot, parsnip, radicchio, kale and cabbage will be available. Foothills Farm uses hoop houses (unheated greenhouses) which help extend the growing season. In addition to veggies such as celery and mustard greens, Foothills Farm will also be bringing their farm-fresh eggs.

Market patrons can expect a wide variety of locally produced goods such as craft items, fresh produce, jam, fermented products, and cheese. The market proudly accepts SNAP EBT and Pandemic EBT and can match these sales up to $40 with the SNAP Market Match program. Learn more at the market’s information booth.

For a full list of participating vendors, customers are encouraged to sign up for the customer newsletter, available on the Bellingham Farmers Market’s website. At this time, all market patrons, customers and staff are required to wear masks while shopping. The Saturday farmers market will resume its weekly schedule beginning April 2.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
